Housekeeper/Cleaner

Role Introduction

We are looking for Cleaners/Housekeepers to join our team here at Eton College.

We have part time and full time hours available for either term time only or full year - experience not required as training will be given.

This role does not attract Skilled Worker visa sponsorship.

Main Duties

  • Cleaning boys rooms & common areas, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, dusting, wiping down surfaces and polishing; Cleaning showers, bathrooms and toilets, emptying bins.
  • Stripping and making beds, sending bedsheets to the Laundry once per week.
  • Moving small items of furniture and mattresses as required to enable efficient and effective cleaning; Using the appropriate powered equipment for tasks such as vacuuming, shampooing, scrubbing and polishing floors (training will be provided as required)
  • Commitment and promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion;
  • All positions at Eton are classed as ‘regulated activity’ as per the Keeping Children Safe in Education 2022 guidance, therefore a good understanding of safeguarding procedures is essential;
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, including by not limited to, completing safeguarding training as required, and ensuring any safeguarding updates issued by the College are read and understood;
  • Understand and comply with procedures and legislation relating to confidentiality.
