Gallery Invigilator
Role Introduction
We are looking for a conscientious and organised individual to join us as a Gallery Invigilator. You will be enthusiastic about our extensive collections and keen to welcome visitors of all ages.
Working on Sunday afternoons as part of a small team, you will be a solid communicator and proactive in assisting guests as they visit our collections and Museum.

Salary: £9.20 per hour
Hours: Casual hours on Sundays
Closing date: 1 August 2019 at noon
Main Duties
- Supervising the safe and secure operation of the gallery during Sunday opening hours
- Interacting positively with visitors of all ages
- Answering questions on the special exhibition and/or directing visitors to resources that may assist in answering their questions.
- Recording visitor numbers; passing on enquiries to Collections staff
- Operating as part of a team and working with other members of the College Collections team to oversee the gallery

To be successful in this role, the incumbent should have:
- Responsible, organised, and proactive
- A good understanding of spoken and written English
- Able to interact with visitors in a friendly and clear manner
